Salt mCodeX 24.1

Salt mCodeX, now referred to as Salt mCodeX, is a mobile-based two-factor authentication (2FA) solution designed to enhance security for remote access to enterprise networks. When integrated with Safetronic Echidna Edition, it offers a streamlined out-of-the-box approach to high-assurance authentication over VPNs, Citrix gateways, or other RADIUS-compatible access points.

The system employs biometric authentication methods—specifically facial recognition and fingerprint verification—to generate one-time passwords (OTPs) and challenge/response signature codes that are displayed directly on an iOS device. This approach aims to combine convenience with security, leveraging cryptographically robust mechanisms protected by device-level PIN authentication.

Salt mCodeX functions as a standalone, PIN-protected solution that does not depend on persistent mobile network connectivity. Its design ensures operational reliability in diverse environments, supporting secure authentication even when offline.
